Bohutín (Příbram District)

Bohutín is a village and municipality in the Příbram District of the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It is located approximately 8 kilometers (5 mi) southwest of Příbram and about 60 kilometers (37 mi) southwest of Prague.

The municipality covers an area of 8.54 square kilometers (3.29 sq mi), and as of 2023, it has a population of approximately 1,900 residents.

Historically, Bohutín has been associated with mining activities, particularly silver and lead. The village's history is intertwined with the broader mining history of the Příbram region, which was a significant center for mineral extraction in Bohemia.

Bohutín is accessible by road and public transportation, and it offers local amenities such as shops, restaurants, and schools. It is also a popular destination for hiking and cycling due to its location in the scenic countryside of the Central Bohemian Region.
