Peter Jones (Australian rules footballer)
Peter Jones (born 27 June 1946) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Jones, a ruckman, was a prominent player for Carlton during the 1960s and 1970s. He played 249 games for the club between 1965 and 1979, and kicked 143 goals.
He was a member of Carlton's premiership-winning teams in 1968, 1970, and 1972. Jones also won Carlton's best and fairest award in 1975.
Known for his strong marking and physical presence, Jones represented Victoria in interstate football on numerous occasions. After retiring from playing, he served as a commentator for various media outlets.
