Ellis (film)

Ellis is a 2015 short film directed by JR and starring Robert De Niro. The film tells the story of immigrants who were detained at Ellis Island in the United States. It uses the historical setting of Ellis Island to explore themes of immigration, identity, and the American dream. De Niro portrays an immigrant looking back on his experiences. The film's narrative is interwoven with archival footage and JR's signature photographic installations. The script was written by Eric Roth.
