Manny Matos (soccer)

Manny Matos is an American former professional soccer player. He primarily played as a defender.

Career

Matos played college soccer at Furman University from 2001 to 2004. He was a standout player for the Paladins, earning All-Southern Conference honors.

Following his college career, Matos was drafted by the MetroStars (later the New York Red Bulls) of Major League Soccer (MLS). While he did not make a first-team appearance for the Red Bulls, he played professionally in other leagues.

Matos played for the Rochester Rhinos in the USL First Division, a second-tier professional league in the United States. He was a regular starter for the Rhinos and helped the team to several successful seasons.
