Colin Fraser (ice hockey)
Colin Fraser (born January 28, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played primarily as a left winger and was known for his physical style of play and face-off abilities.
Fraser was drafted 69th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. Prior to his professional career, he played junior hockey with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he served as team captain.
Fraser made his NHL debut with the Flyers during the 2005-06 season. He was later traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, where he became a key role player on their Stanley Cup-winning teams in 2010. He then played for the Los Angeles Kings, winning another Stanley Cup in 2012 and 2014.
Throughout his NHL career, Fraser played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, and St. Louis Blues. He was primarily a depth player, contributing through his physical play, penalty killing, and face-off skills. He was regarded as a valuable teammate and a respected presence in the locker room.
After retiring from professional hockey, Fraser has worked in player development roles.
