Bill Grundy (footballer)
Bill Grundy (born 1923, died 2011) was an English professional footballer who played as a full-back. He is best known for his time playing for Manchester City in the years following World War II.
Grundy began his career with Mossley before joining Manchester City in 1946. He made over 100 league appearances for the club during his time there. He was known for his tough tackling and dependable defending. After leaving Manchester City, he played for Stockport County.
Following his retirement from professional football, Grundy remained involved in the sport at a local level.
