Ben Saunders (singer)
Ben Saunders (born October 31, 1983) is a Dutch singer who rose to fame as the winner of the first season of The Voice of Holland. Prior to his victory, he was known for his involvement in the pop-punk band Fourstarz.
Saunders auditioned for The Voice of Holland in 2010, singing "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. He impressed the judges and ultimately chose to join Team Roel van Velzen. Throughout the competition, he delivered strong performances of songs such as "If You Don't Know Me by Now" and "When a Man Loves a Woman."
He won the competition in January 2011, receiving the most votes from the public. Following his win, Saunders released his debut single, "Kill for a Broken Heart," which quickly reached the top of the Dutch charts. His debut album, also titled Kill for a Broken Heart, was released in 2011 and achieved platinum status in the Netherlands.
Saunders has since released several more albums and singles, continuing to perform and record music. He has also participated in various television programs and events. His music is generally categorized as soul, pop, and R&B. Beyond his musical career, Saunders has been noted in the Dutch media for his tattoos and distinctive appearance.
