Wigberht

Wigberht may refer to:

• Wigberht (bishop of Sherborne): A medieval Bishop of Sherborne in England. He held the office from approximately 892 AD to 900 AD. Little is definitively known about his episcopate beyond his name and the approximate dates of his tenure. He succeeded Swithun, and was followed by Werstan.

• Wigberht (monk of Glastonbury): A monk of Glastonbury Abbey in Somerset, England. He is primarily known for his hagiographical writings, particularly his Vita Sancti Guthlaci (Life of Saint Guthlac), a biography of the Anglo-Saxon hermit Guthlac of Crowland. This work is an important source of information regarding Anglo-Saxon monasticism, religious beliefs, and social customs.
