Francis Bacon (cricketer)
Francis Bacon (born 17 August 1868, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire in 1895.
Bacon was born in Belper, Derbyshire. He made his debut for Derbyshire in the 1895 season against Lancashire, when he scored 1 in each innings. He played two further matches in the season, without making any significant contribution, and did not play first-class cricket again.
Bacon was a right-handed batsman and played 3 innings in 3 first-class matches with a top score of 1 and an average of 0.66. He was a right-arm medium-pace bowler but did not bowl in first-class cricket.
