Baragiano

Baragiano is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata. It is situated in the Apennine Mountains.

The comune is bordered by the comuni of Balvano, Bella, Muro Lucano, Picerno, and Ruoti. Its economy is largely agricultural, with some small-scale industry. The population is relatively small and has seen periods of decline due to emigration. Historical landmarks include the local church and remains of older settlements in the surrounding area.
