Bagot (Province of Canada electoral district)
Bagot was an electoral district in the Province of Canada, created in 1854. It was located in Lower Canada (subsequently Quebec). The district was named for Bagot Township, itself likely named after Sir Charles Bagot, Governor General of British North America (1841-1843).
The constituency elected one member to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada. It existed until Confederation in 1867. Following Confederation, the area formerly encompassed by the Bagot electoral district became part of the Bagot electoral district in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec.
