Baddesley Clinton (village)
Baddesley Clinton is a small village and civil parish in the Warwick District of Warwickshire, England. It is situated approximately 8 miles (13 km) north-west of Warwick and lies within the Forest of Arden.
The village is best known for Baddesley Clinton Hall, a moated medieval manor house that dates back to the 13th century. The Hall and its estate are now owned and managed by the National Trust, attracting visitors interested in history, architecture, and the surrounding countryside. The name "Baddesley" is thought to derive from "Baeddi's leah," meaning Baeddi's woodland clearing. "Clinton" comes from the de Clinton family, who owned the manor in the 14th century.
Historically, Baddesley Clinton was an agricultural community. The village remains a small and relatively quiet rural settlement. Modern amenities are limited, but its proximity to larger towns such as Warwick and Solihull allows residents access to a wider range of services and facilities.
