Będomin
Będomin is a village located in northern Poland, within the administrative district of Gmina Nowa Karczma, Kościerzyna County, Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is situated approximately 4 kilometers (2 miles) southwest of Nowa Karczma, 11 km (7 miles) east of Kościerzyna, and 43 km (27 miles) southwest of the regional capital Gdańsk.
Historically, Będomin is significant as the birthplace of Józef Wybicki, the author of the lyrics to the Polish national anthem, Mazurek Dąbrowskiego (Poland Is Not Yet Lost). A museum dedicated to Wybicki is located in the manor house in Będomin, offering insights into his life and the historical context of the anthem.
The village is primarily agricultural, with some tourism related to the Wybicki museum. The surrounding area is characterized by rolling hills and forests, typical of the Kashubian Lake District.
