Avaí FC

Avaí FC (also known as Avaí Futebol Clube) is a Brazilian football club based in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The club was founded on September 1, 1923.

Avaí is one of the most traditional and successful clubs in Santa Catarina. Their home stadium is the Estádio Aderbal Ramos da Silva, more commonly known as Ressacada. The team's colors are blue and white.

Avaí has won the Campeonato Catarinense (Santa Catarina State Championship) numerous times, making them one of the most successful teams in the competition's history. They have also participated in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top tier of Brazilian football, on several occasions.

The club's main rivals are Figueirense, and matches between the two teams are known as the Clássico de Florianópolis (Florianópolis Derby) or simply as the Clássico.

Avaí has a strong fan base in Florianópolis and throughout Santa Catarina.
