Quevedo (Madrid Metro)
Quevedo is a station on Line 2 of the Madrid Metro. It is located beneath Bravo Murillo street, between the intersections of Galileo street and Eloy Gonzalo street in the Chamberí district of Madrid, Spain.
The station opened on December 27, 1925, as part of the extension of Line 2 from Sol to Cuatro Caminos. Its name derives from the nearby Plaza de Quevedo, which is named after the prominent Spanish Baroque writer Francisco de Quevedo.
Quevedo station has two platforms, one in each direction, serving trains traveling towards Cuatro Caminos and towards Las Rosas. It offers connections to several EMT (Madrid Municipal Transport Company) bus lines. The station's architecture is functional and typical of the older stations on the Madrid Metro system.
