A22 road (Northern Ireland)

The A22 is a major road in Northern Ireland. It runs generally in a north-south direction, connecting Comber in County Down to the A2 near the George Best Belfast City Airport.

Specifically, the A22 begins in Comber, near Strangford Lough. It proceeds in a generally northerly direction, passing through or near towns and villages such as Dundonald. It then connects with the A2, the Sydenham Bypass, near the Belfast City Airport, providing access to Belfast city centre and beyond.

The A22 serves as an important arterial route for traffic moving between Comber, the Ards Peninsula, and Belfast. It carries a significant volume of commuter traffic, particularly during peak hours.
