Au printemps (album)
Au printemps is the debut studio album by Japanese singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama, released under the pseudonym "Parisienne Girl" in 2013. It is a lo-fi pop record primarily sung in French, inspired by French pop music and culture. The album showcases Sawayama's early musical style, characterized by dreamy, melancholic soundscapes and introspective lyrics. The album's title, which translates to "In Springtime" in English, hints at the themes of renewal, growth, and reflection explored within the songs. Despite being a self-released project and relatively unknown compared to her later work, Au printemps offers a glimpse into Sawayama's artistic development and experimentation with different musical styles before her breakthrough into the mainstream.
