Anthony Sharp (Quaker)
Anthony Sharp (1643-1707) was a prominent Quaker merchant and religious leader in Ireland. Born in England, he emigrated to Dublin around 1670 and became a successful businessman, involved in trade and shipping. He was an influential figure within the Dublin Yearly Meeting of the Society of Friends, known for his strong advocacy for Quaker principles of peace, integrity, and social justice.
Sharp actively participated in efforts to alleviate suffering caused by poverty and famine in Ireland.
