Anthony Maher (Gaelic footballer)

Anthony Maher is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Kerry senior team. He primarily played as a midfielder and was known for his athleticism, work rate, and fielding ability.

Maher made his senior inter-county debut for Kerry in 2009 and went on to become a key member of the team for over a decade. He won five All-Ireland Senior Football Championship titles with Kerry in 2009, 2014, and three in a row from 2006 to 2008. He also won several National Football League titles and Munster Senior Football Championship titles.

Throughout his career, Maher was recognised as one of the top midfielders in the game, consistently providing strong performances for Kerry. He was known for his high fielding ability, tackling, and ability to drive forward from midfield.

He retired from inter-county football in 2018 due to persistent back injuries. Since his retirement, he has remained involved in Gaelic football in various capacities.
