Ann Lyons (judge)

Ann Lyons is a retired American judge who served on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She was nominated by President Bill Clinton on July 28, 1994, and confirmed by the Senate on October 7, 1994. She received her commission on October 11, 1994.

Prior to her appointment to the federal bench, Lyons served as a judge in the Texas state court system. Her legal career also included time in private practice. She earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.

Judge Lyons assumed senior status on January 15, 2007, and retired from the court on December 2, 2011.
