American Music Awards of 2003 (January)

The American Music Awards of 2003 (January) were held on January 13, 2003, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. They celebrated the most popular artists and albums of 2002. The ceremony was hosted by Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, and Jack Osbourne.

Notable winners included Eminem, who won Favorite Male Artist in both the Pop/Rock and Rap/Hip-Hop categories, and Creed, who won Favorite Album in the Pop/Rock category for their album "Weathered". TLC won Favorite Band, Duo or Group in the Pop/Rock category. Nelly was also a multiple award winner, taking home Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album in the Rap/Hip-Hop categories.

The show featured performances from artists such as Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Kid Rock, among others. It recognized achievements in a variety of music genres, including Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Latin, Alternative, and Adult Contemporary.
