Alvin Moore (equestrian)
Alvin Moore, Jr. (born November 11, 1927, died November 23, 2010) was an American equestrian who competed in the sport of eventing. He represented the United States at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, where he won a silver medal in the team eventing competition. Individually, he finished 12th. Moore was a prominent figure in American eventing for many years as both a competitor and a trainer. He was inducted into the United States Eventing Association Hall of Fame in 2004. He was known for his horsemanship and dedication to the sport. Moore was also a member of the U.S. Equestrian Team from 1959 to 1968.
