Hoành Bồ
Hoành Bồ was a rural district (huyện) in Quảng Ninh province, Vietnam. It was located in the north-central part of the province. As of December 2019, it was merged with Hạ Long city to form the new Hạ Long city.
Historically, Hoành Bồ was primarily an agricultural district known for its forests, mountains, and rural character. It was also known for its natural resources, including limestone. The economy relied heavily on forestry, agriculture, and small-scale industry.
The administrative center of Hoành Bồ was Trới town (thị trấn).
