Alumni Gym (Elon University)

Alumni Gym is a multi-purpose athletic facility located on the campus of Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. Originally constructed in 1951, it has served as the primary home for various Elon Phoenix athletic teams, most notably basketball and volleyball, for many years.

The building underwent significant renovations and expansions over time. These improvements modernized the facility and enhanced its functionality for both athletes and spectators. Alumni Gym includes a main competition court, locker rooms, training facilities, and office space for coaches and athletic staff.

While newer facilities have since been built to house the basketball and volleyball programs (the Schar Center), Alumni Gym continues to be utilized for other campus activities. It often hosts intramural sports, club sports, and recreational events for students, faculty, and staff. The facility also serves as a venue for university ceremonies and special events.
