Allen Vizzutti
Allen Vizzutti (born September 13, 1952) is an American trumpet player, composer, and music educator. He is widely recognized for his virtuosity, versatility, and extensive discography spanning classical, jazz, and contemporary genres.
Vizzutti began playing the trumpet at a young age and received his Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Performer's Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. He has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras and ensembles around the world, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Budapest Radio Orchestra, and the Minnesota Orchestra.
Beyond performance, Vizzutti is a prolific composer, having written works for a variety of instrumental combinations, including solo trumpet, brass ensembles, wind bands, and orchestras. His compositions are often characterized by their technical demands, melodic inventiveness, and rhythmic energy.
