Alice Fischer (actress)
Alice Fischer (1869-1947) was an American stage actress. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, she made her stage debut in 1887 and quickly gained recognition for her comedic roles. Fischer starred in numerous Broadway productions throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including "The Brownies," "The Widow Jones," and "Mrs. Jack." She was known for her vivacious personality and talent for physical comedy. Fischer also ventured into silent films, appearing in several productions before retiring from acting in the 1920s. She was married to actor William Harcourt King.
