Freren (Samtgemeinde)

The Samtgemeinde Freren is a collective municipality (German: Samtgemeinde) in the Emsland district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 20 km south of Lingen, and 30 km west of Osnabrück.

The Samtgemeinde consists of the following member municipalities (German: Mitgliedsgemeinden):

• Andervenne
• Beesten
• Everswinkel
• Freren
• Messingen
• Thuine

The administration of the Samtgemeinde is located in Freren.
