John Wilson (English judge)

John Wilson (died 1409) was an English judge who served as a Justice of the Common Pleas during the reign of King Henry IV.

Details of Wilson's early life and legal career before his elevation to the bench are scarce. He appears in legal records as a pleader and lawyer in the late 14th century. He was appointed a Justice of the Common Pleas on 18 November 1405.

Wilson served in this capacity until his death in 1409. His successor on the Common Pleas was William Lenche. Historical records do not reveal significant details about his judicial rulings or prominent cases he heard during his tenure. He is primarily remembered as one of the relatively obscure judges who maintained the continuity of the English legal system during a turbulent period of English history.
