Ali Jackson (jazz drummer)
Ali Jackson (born 1976) is an American jazz drummer, composer, and educator. He is known for his versatility, playing in a wide range of jazz styles from traditional to avant-garde.
Jackson comes from a musical family; his father, Ali Jackson Sr., was a bassist. He began playing drums at a young age and quickly established himself as a promising talent. He studied at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
He has performed and recorded with numerous prominent jazz musicians, including Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Dianne Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Harry Connick Jr. Jackson has toured extensively both domestically and internationally.
