Alfarnate

Alfarnate is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. It is located in the comarca of Axarquía. The name Alfarnate is derived from the Arabic "Al-farnat," meaning "flour mill" or "inn".

The municipality has a population of approximately 1,100 inhabitants. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, especially the cultivation of cherries and olives. Tourism also plays a role, with visitors drawn to the area's natural beauty and traditional Andalusian architecture.
