Peace (Eurythmics album)
Peace is the ninth and final studio album by British pop duo Eurythmics, released in 1999. It marked a reunion for Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart after a nine-year hiatus, during which both pursued solo careers.
The album's title, Peace, reflects a central theme explored in the lyrics, focusing on global issues, social responsibility, and the need for harmony in a world often plagued by conflict. Many of the songs address themes such as poverty, war, and environmental concerns.
The album spawned several singles, including "I Saved the World Today" and "17 Again." Peace was supported by a large-scale promotional tour, with all profits from ticket sales donated to Amnesty International and Greenpeace. This underscored the band's commitment to the themes present in the album's content. The album was generally well-received critically and commercially, reaching the top of the charts in several countries.
