HMAS Diamantina (M 86)
HMAS Diamantina (M 86) was a Huon-class minehunter coastal of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Built by ADI Newcastle in New South Wales, she was commissioned into the RAN in May 2001. Primarily designed for mine warfare, Diamantina employed a range of technologies, including a bow-mounted sonar, remotely operated vehicles, and a dedicated mine hunting system, to detect and neutralize sea mines. Diamantina operated extensively throughout Australian waters and participated in various multinational exercises, contributing to maritime security and regional stability. Her homeport was HMAS Waterhen in Sydney. She was decommissioned in 2023.
