Hortaleza (Madrid Metro)

Hortaleza is a station on Line 4 of the Madrid Metro. It is located in Zone A and serves the Hortaleza district of Madrid, Spain.

The station is situated underground, beneath the confluence of the Calle de López de Hoyos and the Calle de Santa Virgilia. It features two side platforms serving two tracks.

Hortaleza station opened on 5 May 1998 as part of the extension of Line 4 from Esperanza to Parque de Santa María. The station is named after the surrounding Hortaleza district, which until 1949 was an independent municipality.

Nearby points of interest include the Centro Comercial Colombia shopping center and several local parks. The station provides access to a primarily residential area.
