Aldo Poy

Aldo Pedro Poy (born September 14, 1945) is a retired Argentine football player, most famous for his time as a forward for Rosario Central.

Poy is best remembered for scoring what is widely considered one of the most important goals in Rosario Central's history. In the semi-final of the 1971 Argentine Championship against Newell's Old Boys, Poy scored a diving header in the 63rd minute, securing a 1-0 victory and sending Rosario Central to the final, which they ultimately won. This goal is deeply ingrained in the folklore of the club, and is often celebrated by fans who recreate the diving header action.
