Bill Ferguson (politician)

Bill Ferguson (born November 19, 1983) is an American politician serving as the 53rd President of the Maryland State Senate. A Democrat, he represents the 46th legislative district, which encompasses portions of Baltimore City.

Ferguson was first elected to the Maryland State Senate in 2010. Prior to becoming President of the Senate, he served as the Senate Majority Leader.

His legislative priorities have included education reform, economic development, and addressing the opioid crisis. He has been a vocal advocate for increased funding for Maryland's public schools and has sponsored legislation aimed at attracting businesses to the state.

Ferguson is a graduate of Davidson College and the University of Maryland School of Law. He resides in Baltimore with his family.
