Akimbo (band)

Akimbo was an American metalcore band formed in Denver, Colorado in 1998. The band's lineup consisted of Jonn Knudsen (vocals, guitar), Nat Dykeman (guitar), Bill McEvoy (bass), and Shane Ogle (drums).

Akimbo was known for its aggressive and chaotic sound, blending elements of hardcore punk, sludge metal, and mathcore. Their music often featured complex song structures, dissonant chords, and harsh vocals. They were also known for their energetic and intense live performances.

The band released several albums throughout their career, including "Automaton" (2001), "Navigating the Bronze" (2003), "Forging Steel and Stone" (2005), "Crusades" (2008), and "Jersey Shores" (2011). They toured extensively across the United States and Europe, playing with bands such as Mastodon, Converge, and Dillinger Escape Plan.

Akimbo disbanded in 2012. Members have since pursued other musical projects.
