Adam Hieronim Sieniawski (1623/1624–1650)
Adam Hieronim Sieniawski (born either in late 1623 or early 1624, died 1650) was a Polish nobleman (szlachcic) of the Sieniawski family. He held the title of Count of Sieniawa and was a Polish military commander.
Sieniawski was the son of Prokop Sieniawski, a Polish nobleman and military leader, and Anna Eufrozyna Chodkiewicz. He married Elżbieta Czarniecka, daughter of Stefan Czarniecki, a prominent Polish military commander, sometime before his death.
He held several important positions throughout his life, including Royal Rotmistrz (a type of cavalry commander) and Starosta of Lwow (Lviv). He was also an envoy to the Sejm (Polish parliament).
Adam Hieronim Sieniawski participated in military campaigns against the Cossacks and during the Khmelnytsky Uprising. He died relatively young, in 1650, leaving behind his wife. He did not leave any children, thus his estates eventually passed to his brother-in-law, Jan Sobieski, who later became King John III of Poland. His early death contributed to the historical prominence of the Sobieski family.
