Tea for Two (TV series)
Tea for Two was a British television series that aired on ITV from 1981 to 1983. It was a situation comedy starring Pat Coombs and Joan Sims as two elderly sisters, Muriel and Diana Plackett, who lived together in a small house. The series revolved around their daily lives, which were often filled with petty squabbles, eccentric neighbors, and attempts to find romance. The humor was largely derived from the contrasting personalities of the two sisters: Muriel being the more practical and down-to-earth of the two, while Diana was more fanciful and prone to flights of fancy. The show was created by Vince Powell, who also wrote for other popular British sitcoms such as Love Thy Neighbour and Bless This House. Three series, comprising a total of 21 episodes, were produced. The series is not frequently repeated on television, but is occasionally available on streaming services.
