Jan Kagie

Jan Kagie (born 1959) is a Dutch computer scientist specializing in natural language processing (NLP). He is a professor at the University of Amsterdam's Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC), within the Faculty of Science. His research interests encompass various areas of NLP, including computational morphology, machine translation, and computational lexicography. Kagie's work often focuses on developing methods for analyzing and processing morphologically rich languages. He has published extensively in leading NLP conferences and journals. He is known for his contributions to the field of finite-state morphology and its application to various NLP tasks.
