ARA Espora (P-41)
The ARA Espora (P-41) is a MEKO 140A-class corvette of the Argentine Navy. She is the lead ship of her class of six corvettes. Espora was built in Argentina at the Río Santiago Shipyard and entered service in 1985.
The Espora-class corvettes are multi-purpose vessels designed for patrol, anti-surface warfare, and anti-submarine warfare. They are equipped with a variety of sensors and weapons, including a 76 mm OTO Melara gun, Exocet anti-ship missiles, and torpedoes.
Throughout her service, Espora has participated in numerous exercises and operations, both domestically and internationally. She is named after the Battle of Espora, a naval battle fought during the Argentine War of Independence.
