2021 US Open (tennis)

The 2021 US Open was a Grand Slam tennis tournament played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens, New York City. It took place from August 30 to September 12, 2021.

It was the 141st edition of the US Open, and the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year. The tournament consisted of men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, mixed doubles, junior, and wheelchair competitions.

Daniil Medvedev won the men's singles title, defeating Novak Djokovic in the final. Emma Raducanu won the women's singles title, defeating Leylah Annie Fernandez in the final. Raducanu became the first qualifier in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam singles title. The tournament was notable for the absence of several high-profile players, including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Serena Williams, due to injuries. Attendance was permitted with COVID-19 protocols in place.
