1973 Grand Prix (tennis)
The 1973 Grand Prix was a series of tennis tournaments which constituted the fourth edition of the professional Grand Prix circuit. Organized by International Lawn Tennis Federation (ILTF), it was separate from the 1973 World Championship Tennis (WCT) circuit, although a limited number of events counted towards both rankings. The circuit ran from March 1973 to December 1973 and comprised a slate of tournaments, including the four Grand Slam events. Points earned in these tournaments counted towards the Grand Prix point standings, determining the Grand Prix Masters champion at the end of the season. Ilie Năstase won the Grand Prix title, while Stan Smith won the Grand Prix Masters title. Significant tournaments in the series included Wimbledon, the US Open, the French Open, and the Australian Open.
