Šternov

Šternov is a village and municipality in the Kutná Hora District of the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The village is located approximately 11 kilometers southeast of Čáslav and 16 kilometers east of Kutná Hora.

The municipality covers an area of 9.75 square kilometers and, as of 2023, has a population of approximately 150.

Historically, Šternov is known for its castle, which played a significant role in the region. The Šternov family, a notable noble family, originated from the area and the castle takes its name from them. The castle has undergone several reconstructions and renovations throughout its history.

Economically, Šternov is primarily an agricultural area. Tourism related to the castle and the surrounding countryside also contributes to the local economy.
