1966 New Year Honours (New Zealand)
The 1966 New Year Honours in New Zealand were appointments made by Elizabeth II to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by New Zealanders. They were announced on 1 January 1966.
The honours list included appointments to the following orders:
- The Order of Saint Michael and Saint George
- The Order of the British Empire
- The British Empire Medal
Recipients of honours are displayed here as they were styled before their new honour, and arranged by honour, then division (Knight Grand Cross, Knight Commander, etc.), then by surname.
The list recognized individuals for their contributions in various fields, including public service, the arts, business, and community work. Further details regarding the specific accomplishments of individual recipients can be found in historical records, such as the New Zealand Gazette.
