Tony Miller (government official)

Tony Miller is an American government official who has served in various roles at the state and federal levels. He is primarily known for his work in the areas of healthcare, technology, and public service.

Miller served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff to Governor Martin O'Malley of Maryland from 2007 to 2015. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the state government, managing the state budget, and implementing the Governor's policy initiatives. A key focus during his tenure was the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in Maryland, including the establishment of the Maryland Health Connection, the state's health insurance marketplace.

Following his service in Maryland, Miller joined the Obama Administration as a Senior Advisor at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). At CMS, he worked on a variety of projects related to healthcare innovation and delivery system reform.

Prior to his government service, Miller worked in the private sector in technology and consulting. He holds degrees from Harvard University and the University of Michigan.
