Zach Duke

Zach Duke (born April 27, 1983) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins, and Texas Rangers.

Duke primarily threw a sinker, slider, and changeup. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 20th round of the 2001 MLB Draft and made his major league debut with them in 2005.

During his career, Duke was known for his effectiveness as a left-handed relief pitcher, particularly in late-inning situations. He was named an All-Star in 2009 while playing for the Pirates. He retired after the 2019 season.
