Xtreme (group)
Xtreme was a Dominican-American bachata duo formed in 2003. The group was composed of Danny Mejia (also known as Danito) and Steven Tejada (also known as Steve Styles). Xtreme was known for blending traditional bachata with R&B and hip hop influences, creating a contemporary sound that appealed to a younger audience.
The duo rose to prominence with hits like "Te Extraño," "Haciendo El Amor," and "Shorty Shorty." Their music often explored themes of love, heartbreak, and romance, delivered with a mix of Spanish and English lyrics.
Xtreme's success helped popularize bachata music among younger generations and in the broader Latin music market. They released several albums and toured extensively before eventually disbanding in the late 2000s. After the split, both Danito and Steve Styles pursued solo careers in music. While Xtreme is no longer performing, their contributions to the bachata genre remain influential.
