HMS Rushen Castle (K372)
HMS Rushen Castle (K372) was a Castle-class corvette of the Royal Navy. She served during World War II, primarily on convoy escort duty in the Atlantic. She was named after Rushen Castle, located on the Isle of Man. These corvettes were designed as improved versions of the earlier Flower-class, offering better endurance and seaworthiness for escorting convoys against U-boat attacks. During her service, HMS Rushen Castle was involved in numerous convoy battles, protecting merchant ships from enemy submarines and aircraft. Following the war, she was eventually decommissioned and disposed of.
