Roadhouse (band)

Roadhouse was a British blues-rock band formed in 1991. The band was notable for its powerful female vocals provided by Michelle Hardiman and their blend of blues, rock, and soul influences.

History:

Roadhouse was formed in London by Hardiman and guitarist Pete Rees. The band quickly gained a reputation for their energetic live performances, leading to a recording contract with Richard Branson's V2 Records.

In 1991, Roadhouse released their debut album, Roadhouse, to critical acclaim. The album featured strong songwriting and Hardiman's distinctive vocals, which drew comparisons to Janis Joplin. Several singles were released from the album, including "Helluva Mess" and "All Join Hands," contributing to the band's growing fanbase.

The band toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe in support of their debut album, opening for acts such as ZZ Top and Gary Moore. Their live shows were characterized by Hardiman's charismatic stage presence and the band's tight musicianship.

Roadhouse released their second album, Get Back, in 1993. While it continued the band's blues-rock style, it didn't achieve the same level of commercial success as their debut.

After the release of Get Back, Roadhouse went through several lineup changes. While they continued to tour and perform, they did not release any further studio albums. The band eventually disbanded in the late 1990s.
