Ouanne (river)
The Ouanne is a 83.5 km long river in France. It is a left tributary of the Loing.
Geography
The Ouanne rises in the Forêt de Frétoy, in the commune of Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye, Yonne department. It flows generally northwards.
Course
The Ouanne flows through the following departments and towns:
- Yonne: Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye, Ouanne, Toucy
- Loiret: Charny-Orée-de-Puisaye, Douchy-Montcorbon, Château-Renard
It joins the Loing at Conflans-sur-Loing.
Hydrology
The Ouanne river basin is part of the Seine River basin. Its drainage area is 593 km2.
